Choir Group
Date: Thursdays, 21 April - 9 June
Time: 5pm - 6pm
Target Audience: Autistic individuals and families from Scotland (all ages welcome)
The group will be limited to a maximum of 12 people.

The session is suitable for all ranges and abilities so don’t worry if this is your first time singing. The main purpose is to promote confidence and learn a little bit about following a songs together in a fun no pressure environment. Music helps us to connect and brings people together in many ways. People listen to music for many different reasons, it can help you connect to our emotions. Music is the one universal thing that connects us all around the world. The group will meet every Thursday evening 5pm – 6pm using Zoom meaning we are able to sing from the comfort of our own homes. Feel free to join in even if it’s just to chat and listen to the songs. We will learn a range of songs over the sessions. The songs will be chosen by you and you will be able to submit your favourite song or a song that means something to you when you register for the event*.

The group will follow the following format, this may change slightly from week to week.
• Introductions/Quick Catch-up
• Warm up Vocal Cords
• Introduce song
• Chat

• Keep discussions civil.
• Do not be afraid to ask questions.
• Respect your own and others' viewpoints.

• Join in as many sessions as you like, the more the better!
• The sessions will run via Zoom, you will need a computer or device with good Wi-Fi
• Cameras and microphones are preferred but not compulsory.

*Please note the songs will be chosen at random and we may not be able to cover all songs that have been submitted.
